REFORMS UNDERWAY FOR SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF "GREEN ENERGY"

This article analyzes the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan’s energy sector and the policy aimed at developing the use of renewable energy sources. Energy and energy resources are essential for the sustainable development of the country’s economy, and Uzbekistan has set goals to increase the share of renewable energy sources to 40 percent by 2030 and create 25 gigawatts of renewable energy sources. The article highlights the potential for solar energy. Uzbekistan’s geographical location and the many sunny days throughout the year ensure the effective use of solar energy.
