MAINTAINING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE OF THE POPULATION THROUGH THE PRISM OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF DOMESTIC WELLNESS TOURISM IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

Wellness tourism is a powerful intersection of two large and growing multi-trillion dollar sectors of the economy: tourism and healthcare. Holistic health and prevention are increasingly at the center of consumer decisions, and people now expect to continue a healthy lifestyle and wellness treatments when they are away from their home.

The WHO Constitution defines health as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not only the absence of diseases and physical defects. The enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being without distinction of race, religion, political beliefs, economic or social status. The achievements of any State in the field of improving and protecting health are of value to the whole world.

At the same time, the health status of the population is determined by the economic, social, and environmental living conditions of the population, sanitary culture, quality and accessibility of medical care. It also depends on natural factors (climate, weather conditions, flora, fauna, etc.) and the state of the environment.

Uzbekistan has both natural and human resources. The uniqueness of each region of the country makes it possible to expand and increase the potential of health tourism in the country. The development of domestic health tourism in the country is currently one of the priorities in the field of tourism development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
