Abstract

It might be difficult to teach vocabulary in the context of teaching English as a foreign language. The majority of words are learnt through classroom teaching, and incidental vocabulary development is restricted because of a lack of second language interaction. Overall, studies have found that in many EFL contexts, L2 vocabulary increase is rather minimal. According to this research, teaching vocabulary in an EFL environment requires a more effective and efficient method. How to maximize vocabulary acquisition in the context of EFL is covered in this chapter.
